2025 City of Dubbo International Fours Tournament

Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th, and Thursday 25th of SeptemberClub Dubbo will host the world’s richest lawn bowls fours tournament, the City of Dubbo International Fours, with prizemoney totalling $150,000.

Now in its fourth year, the tournament builds on last year’s resounding success. Under the leadership of Club Dubbo chairman Tony Speirs, the prize pool has been increased to attract an elite field for 2025.

The tournament features international, Australian, NSW, interstate, and local stars, all competing for a share of the substantial prize money.

Key players to watch include:

  • Aaron Wilson, Commonwealth Games Singles Champion
  • Jack McShane, 2025 World Indoor Champion, along with Kane Nelson, Matt Lucas, Nathan Rice, Aaron Teys, Cory Wedlock, and Ben Twist
  • Two Fijian teams and Northern Ireland World Champion Gary Kelly

The defending champions – Jack McShane, Joey Clarke, Nathan Black, and Ben Twist – return to defend their title, while two-time champions Josh Walker-Davis, Hayden Bojkowski, Jake Ryne, and NSW Champion of Champions Lee Schraner will be tough to beat.

Sydney’s premier Grade 1 clubs are well represented, including St Johns Park, Cabramatta, Engadine, Mount Lewis, Taren Point, plus newcomers from the Gold Coast’s Helensvale, and Victoria’s Ocean Grove, led by Matt Flapper. ACT are bringing two strong teams, while other notable entrants include Kurri Kurri, led by Nathan Wise, and teams from the Illawarra region.

Regional powerhouses from the Mid-West Region will also compete, including Parkes Railway, Condobolin, Bourke, and local teams from West Dubbo.

The week kicks off on Monday evening with a Calcutta at 6:00 pm, where members and visitors are welcome to mingle with the stars and soak up the excitement ahead of the tournament.

Tournament play begins on Tuesday at 8:30 am. Don’t miss your chance to witness some of the finest bowls action in the world – right here in Dubbo!
