Concept drawing of western extension - Work to commence in February 2025
After several disrupted years of trade due to COVID-19, the Board of Directors are excited to once again commence work to continue improving our Clubhouse facilities for our members, guests and visitors.
Some of the key items in this stage of works include:
- Extension of the existing clubhouse by approx. 4.5 metre's towards the Allan Johnston Bowling green (North facing)
- Incorporate the exterior façade and design of the main club (Works completed in 2019) to the western/north western side of the building.
- Increased viewing of the Clubs 3 bowling greens by installing floor to ceiling, double glazed glass frontage along the north western side of the club to further encourage participation in the sport.
- Relocation of the Bowls Office and Bowls Locker room (Currently behind the dancefloor) to open up the western end of the Club
- Increased seating capacity in the western lounge by approx. 100 seats
- Redesign of the western TAB facility to incorporate the new Bowls Locker room, which will be located behind the TAB area.
- Installation of a new Bowls Office located towards the eastern end of the Club, overlooking the Allan Johnston bowling green.
- Redesign of the Northern entry staircase and entrance point to create a modern & welcoming entry point to the club.
- Construction of a new stairwell on the western end of the club to improve access to the clubs bowling greens.
